We are the Saints

PROGRAM NOTE

Comprising three movements, the work is a meditation on the natural world, and our relationship to it. The title, as well as the first text, come from an epigraph that precedes Jenny Offill’s novel Weather, published in 2020. A minimum of twelve voices are necessary to perform the piece. The duration of the work is approximately ten minutes.
